Kirito runs into a young girl by the name of Silica, who is in a bit of trouble, so he decides to help her out. ( who happens to remind him very much of his own imouto { little sister } in the real world - ) who appears to be one of the few "beast tamers" in the game.
She even managed to tame a little blue dragon who can heal her when injured; granting her fame and popularity around the players.
Anyway in this scene, a plant monster picks her up w/ vines about 30 feet, and her skirt flips down for a moment, hence his awkward reaction. She kills the beast and lands back on the ground, asking him "Did you see them?", meaning her panties.
